Is there a way to enable listings to show on this type of page?
    https://domain.com/places/california

This type of page obviously works:
    https://domain.com/places/california/los-angeles/category/place/

But I’d like to have pages for states.

    Hi,

    yes you can:

    https://wpgeo.directory/supreme-directory/places/united-states/california/

In my example we have the country in the URL too, but you can avoid that.

After you install the Location Manager, there should be nothing else to enable.

If you provide a link and admin credentials in a private reply, I’ll have a look.

    Thanks

This is a bug and I asked to the developers to verify it.

You have this option in GD permalinks: Add region and city slug in listing urls (/region/city/)

But for some reasons in the archive it only adds city.

About /location/ and /places/ they are 2 different things.

The Location page is the home page of each location and it’s entirely created with widgets. So you decide what to shown on it. The places page is an archive of CPT or categories. Here the content area is a list of all listings in that CPT or category.

    More info here: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/layout/

    Thanks

    Hi Andy,

There is a already settings available to hide country slug from LISTING, CPT and LOCATION page urls. But you can hide country slug from these pages if you have a default country enabled.

Ticked “Enable default country” & “Hide country part of url for LISTING, CPT and LOCATION pages?” from GeoDirectory > Multilocations > GEO DIRECTORY LOCATION SETTINGS and now region pages works fine as you requested.

Please check and let us know.
