Events translation not working

    Hello, for the events plugin I translated the .po file located at wp-content/plugins/geodir_event_manager/gdevents-languages and uploaded the .mo file, after realizing this did not display the translations on the frontend I moved the file to /wp-content/languages/geodirevents/geodirevents-en_US.mo as specified here https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/translating-addons/ and found this also does not work.

    The areas not being translated are:
    Recurring event?
    Event start date
    Event end date
    All say
    Checked to set event for all day

    All else was translated by logging into the admin panel under Geodirectory/Events Settings/Custom Fields.

    Any clue what might be wrong here?
