Events Widget shows past events also

We have moved to a support ticketing system and our forums are now closed.

    Hi, we have the Events Category widget showing on home page but it shows counts much larger than current events, I am thinking it must be showing Past Events in Count also, but I cant find the config settings for that in the Widget settings
