    Hi,

I have 2 packages, Free and Premium. Is it possible to allow input for a field but hide it on the front-end? The reason is that when they upgrade to the premium account they will not need to add more information. Simply upgrade and the fields that are available for premium would show on the front-end.

    Hi kstock,

Thanks for your post. You can use the exclude field option in the packages to achieve what you needed there https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/places/packages/#settings .

Yes, you can have the listing owner fill in a field, and then just not show it at all anywhere.

Ways to avoid showing a field:

Make sure you remove all values from “Show in extra output locations”
Don’t add a GD Post Meta widget for the field to the sidebar.

Making a field “Active” -> UNCHECKED isn’t what you want because then they can’t fill it.
