GD for dummies?

    Is anyone working on some posts that will help people put this all together easier?

    I am not a programmer, but just a WP user and it takes me forever to get the settings right despite the directions. I often don’t know what the directions mean or what they will do on the front end or users end.

    Like here is how to allow people to create a listing. here is how you add the ability to make them pay for listing.

    just a thought.

    Thanks for your post. Maybe you can check out the showcase here https://wpgeodirectory.com/category/showcase/ and see how others are providing instructions for users to add listings or to upgrade a listing. It should be easy and straight forward.

    I am looking for more help with all the settings and which pages to use to login etc… should I be using UsersWP or the regular GD pages? How do I connect claim listings to payments? How do I connect add listing to payments? How do I add different things to the sidebars for logged in users? I don’t know what half the settings actually mean.
    I just change one thing and see what happens on the front end and I usually get it but it takes a few hours.

    UsersWP installs a login page with a login form, make a menu item to point to that. You can use the UsersWP menu options because they automatically show/hide for logged in/out users.

    When listings are claimed you can use the Package settings to choose which packages can be chosen and paid for at claim

    For all payments you will need to install pricing manager and then WP Invoicing

    GD doesn’t have a setting for show/hide for logged in/out but there are lots of 3rd party plugins that do offer that sort of feature.
