    Hi,

Everytime I click the “download GD V2 version here: button, the file gets downloaded as a folder instead of zip file. Hence, I can’t install the plugin. Am I missing something here? Thanks!

Thank you Guust. I managed to download it in zip according to your instructions. However, when I tried to install the plugin, I got

Installing Plugin from uploaded file: geodirectory-2.0.0.33.zip
    Unpacking the package…

    Installing the plugin…

    Destination folder already exists. /home/thefoodl/public_html/wp-content/plugins/geodirectory/

    Plugin installation failed.

I’ve already installed easy updates plugin so I’m not sure what went wrong. I’ll post my login details in the next post in case you need it to check. Thank you!

    And what is the URL?
You must already have installed GD before.
You can possibly choose to overwrite the previous GD installation using https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/useful-plugins/#easy
but be aware if you are trying to change from V1 to V2, you will need to follow these instructions:
    https://wpgeodirectory.com/try-geodirectory-v2/

    Thanks

    Hi,

I managed to solve the problem with your links. I thought easyupdates was enough but it could only work if I installed easythemes as well. Thanks!

Good to hear you were able to fix it.
