gd_best_of Shortcode shows first category listings by default

    Hi,
    I used the following shortcode to show the a list of 5 locations, no matter wich category. I don´t know why, but suddenly the widget shows only the listings from the first category.

    In the first category is only 1 listing and that´s why only there is only one listing shown in the frontpage.

    Can you please send me a showrtcode, which shows the most popular listings from all categories. The dropdown menu should show “choose category”.

    Hello Alex,
    thank your for the feedback. I tried that, but I did not finde a option to choose a default categroy or all categories.

    I tried to add category=”0″ to my shortcode, but that did not work. Please check and let me know how to make the shortcode work correct.

    I misspoke, I was looking up GD Listings.
    These are all the options available for GD Best Of

    maybe there is a misunderstanding? I want to see the most popular entries from all categories. Now only the entries from the category “Consulting” are displayed.

    I tried your shortcode, but that did not work for me, too. Still the default category “Beratung” shows the entries. (I want entries from all categories.

    Hi Steffen,

    What you see is the default behavior of the “best of” widget.

    It shows the top-rated listings for each category. If the 1st category as only 1 listing, it can’t show more…

    To show the top listing per category you should use the gd_listing shortcode and make it sort by ratings.

    It shouldn’t be hard to get it using the shortcode builder.

    Is it possible to show a list view with picture left and text right?

    How can I translate the “Read more…” link?

    That is the list type layout, but no advised for sidebar usage.

    If you use GD Post Content you can adjust the read more text as you like.
