    Do we have to install GeoDirectory V1 first and then upgrade to V2. I am starting a fresh site..Can I install V2 directly and proceed?

    Start directly with V2 for new sites, do not install V1 first.

    Thank you..I did that at http://cgxdev.com/breizsurfing.org/things-to-do/
    However, I am unable to see the map when I click onthe down arrow in the home page. Where can I enable the map to be seen?
    ALso how can I add another category in the search in the Home page?

    You need to add a map to that page.

    Is this a separate WP installation from the main site? There is no need for that, but that is up to you.
    You can just add GD to the main site and use your Divi theme if you like.

    I suggest you run the setup wizard again, that will add the map where you want it.

    Categories are added as soon you have listings in them.
