    Hi !

I’ve installed GeoDirectory on my customer’s website. So I’ve followed the installation guide right here : https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/basic-installation/#location

But when I want to set a new location, I’ve got an error message :
Geocode was not successful for the following reason: REQUEST_DENIED

I’ve tried with : Los Angeles, California, United States
    And : Paris, Île-de-France, France

    And it doesn’t work.
    Can someone help me ?
    Thanks a lot

    Hi Murielle,

sorry for the inconvenience, if you provide a link and admin credentials in a private reply for us to have a look, we will help ou fix it.

Most of the time this is due to a conflict with anouther plugin or theme script.

    Hi Paolo,

I’ve deactivated all my plugins and changed my theme, but I still have this error.

Can you give me a mail address so I can give you an admin access please ?

Because a member already replied as private and I can’t read the message. So with an email, it would be easier.
    Thanks a lot !

    Hi Murielle,

the version we released yesterday will solve this issue, you just need to go to Design > Map and add the new mandatory API key as explained here: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/add-google-api-key/

    Thanks

    Hi Paolo,

    Thanks for the new version.
But I think the link you gave me should be updated with the new Google interface because there are several possibilities to create an API Key : Server Key / Browser Key / Android Key / iOS Key.

I’ve chosen to create a simple API browser key. And I’ve added it into GeoDirectory, but I have an error message. (I’ve done some screen caps).

Do I have to activate something else and is it free ?
    Thanks

    Hi Paolo,

I’ve followed this instructions again and when I go to “Set Default Location”, I’ve got a Javascript error “No records found. Please just your search criteria and try again.” instead of the map.

    Here are my criteria :
    Los Angeles, California, United States
    And :
    Paris, Île-de-France, France

How can I solve this error message ?
Because I think the criteria are correct.

    Thanks

    hi,

you have several 404 errors in console caused by the maintenance plugin.

In addition you have this error:

Google Maps API error: DeletedApiProjectMapError https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/error-messages#deleted-api-project-map-error
    https://maps.google.com/maps/api/js?&language=fr&key=AIzaSyDgwzVVti5PA_kFrELqpbkjvrs_H3ZhVvY
    Line 32

I asked to the developers to let us know what could be causing it.

    Thanks

    Hi Paolo,

I’ve deactivated the WP Maintenance plugin and created a new project so I can have a new API Key (as it is advised in your first link). The result is the same one : no records found. And I still can’t see the map to drag the map marker and choose a default location.

Did you have some news from the developers ?
Because my customer really needs the plugin working as soon as possible so she can add other add ons too on her website.

    Thanks a lot !

PS : In Design > Map, I’ve selected a default map language : “FRENCH”. Could it be the source of the problem ?

Hi again, I thought that maybe you could try with an API key of your own so that we can figure out if the problem comes from my account or my project.

What do you think about it ?
