GeoDirectory Autoupdating even though I have auto update off

    I have disabled autoupdate on my WP site for GD. Every few days, it autoupdates and my site doesnt work. How do I stop the autoupdating? WP support couldnt find anything wrong and asked I contact your team. please help!

    Hi Ash,

    Thanks for your post. Auto update would still require manual clicking on the update link. Maybe you can try deactivating the WP easy updates https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/addons/installing-addons/#updates if you wish to disable all auto updates.

    I am not clicking anything and I do not have WP Easy Updates installed. It auto updates on weekends when I am not even logged in. This has happened several times now.

    Any way I can get help on this? I Can share my WP login info, then you can see in my activity page it is autoupdating and I dont use WP Easy Updates. YOu will also be able to see I have jetpack auto updates for this plugin turned off.

    Hi Ash,

    our plugin doesn’t have the option to auto-update. It wouldn’t be accepted in wordpress.org plugin repository otherwise.

    Auto updates are always and only launched by hosting services. I would ask for support to wordpress.com to ask them how is it possible that is auto-updates are turned off, the plugin is still being auto-updated.

    Hi Team GD, so I cannot stop WordPress from autoupdating it, per WordPress, when a new version of a public plugin comes out, they have to update it and there is no way to stop it.

    So what I want to know is, will someone help me update my site to GDV2? I am not that good with this stuff and it seems very intimidating to me.

    Did you have a look at the checklist and the video in the documentation?

    If you are able to follow that tutorial carefully, you will see that it is not that intimidating.

    There are just a few steps to be performed. Everything is covered in that doc.
