    Hi,
can you please tell me how are the Google Maps JavaScript API requests counted?
Are they counted by page load or by number of pins on the page?

For example on loading a GD archive page that has 10 listings on it will that count as 10 requests or 1 request?

    Thanks

Google has a policy about that.

You can find some links from our blog post about last year’s API changes

    The Google policy: https://cloud.google.com/maps-platform/pricing#request

    says: What is a request?

Requests can either be calls to the API, or load events of maps or panoramas. User interactions like zooming or panning are not charged.

and on your page it’s not mentioned what is considered a request.

It’s not clear if loading a GD archive page that has 10 listings will that count 10 requests or 1 request.

    Thank you for your time

    Hi Luca,

It is per map load, it does not matter how many how many pins are on it.

    Thanks,

    Stiofan
