    Hi!

    This is my homepage: https://xskidirectory.com/

There are two changes I would like to make:

    1. How do I change the default pin to a custom pin?

    2. I would like the map to load in a more zoomed out position. Ideally my homepage map would show most of North America, as in this example: https://skitrails.info/

    Can you please help?

    Thanks!

    Hi Kim,

Thanks for your post. Please allow me to answer your questions accordingly.

    1. You can insert custom map marker/pin here in the places categories https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/places/categories/#category-location .

    2. You can adjust the zoom level of the map here in the GD > Map Shortcode https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/design/maps/#location .

    Hi,

Thanks. I was able to change the marker icon. But I still can’t see how to zoom out the map. The shortcode I am using is as follows:

    [gd_map width=”100%” height=”550px” maptype=”ROADMAP” zoom=”0″ map_type=”auto” post_settings=”1″]

I tried to adjust the zoom value. I could get the map more zoomed in, but not zoomed out, even with a negative sign in front of the zoom value.

Can you please suggest how to zoom the map out?

ALSO… What does the final term (post_settings=”1″) do? Does that mean only one map marker will show on the map? I want all locations to show.

    Thanks!!!

When the listing is added or edited the zoom level is captured. Use post setting = 1 to use that zoom level, or 0 to set your own override level.

    try

    [gd_map width="100%" height="425px" maptype="ROADMAP" zoom="12" map_type="post" scrollwheel="1"]
