How can I create separete Places and Events Ma?p

    Hi,
    [gd_listing_map] is the equivalent shortcodes of the “GD > GMap – Listing Page”.
    I`d like make a page similar to URL/places and and make other page similar to URL/events
    So I have create a new page and I have introduce a widget area with “GD > GMap – Home Page”. But I can see the general map with places and events all included in the same map.
    But I don

    t want that... I

    d like two diferents page
    One page similar to URL/places
    and other page similar to URL/events
    If I introduce “GD > GMap – Listing Page” I can have any good result…
    So my question is, there is a way in order to create a new page and introduce a map that show the only places? And to create other page and introduce a map that show only events?

    I have two other diferents questions:
    2. The calendar has a bad design. There is a way in order to modifier the calendar?
    3. I know that your framework is responsive, but I need know another question… Are you working in order to lanch in the nexts months an app for mobiles (interconected with the website) that let user recive a notification for a news events, etc…? I think it will be a very good app. Are you working in that.

    I have a similar question – but i think I can explain differently:

    1. If I create a new page (Named NewPage) with slug ‘newpage’ and add [gd_listing_map] to the page, it shows a map BUT with “No Records Found.” That is despite having multiple “place entries” (as it clearly does is not reading gd_type as it does in other listing shortcodes).

    2. if I change the slug on the NewPage to “places”, wordpress accepts the change and “NewPage” utilizes the slug ‘places’; BUT when you view the page, it is definitely just utilizing the Geodirectory Listing Page (with associated widgets, etc).

    How can [gd_listing_map] shortcode actually be utilized on a “blank page” or in this case “NewPage”

    All other shortcodes work fine and it is a GREAT plugin!

    Hi,

    [gd_listing_map] will only work in an archive page. Not in regular pages.

    It is not possible to create a custom map showing only events to be placed in a page.

    Hi Paolo, I understand.
    I will open a request, however I think that 6 months ago, when users ask for a shorts code, they wanted a shorts code for use their in “REGULAR PAGE”.
    At this time users have a shorts code but we can`t use all of theme.
    I think [gd_listing_map] and [gd_popular_post_view] don`t work like user want.
    I think it is very important reproduce pages like:
    URL/places
    and
    URL/events
    and setting theme like useres want. I think that give to GeoDirectory a very good flexibility solution.
    But with the actual shorts code it is no possible.
    So I think that the requeriment of 6 months ago about short code at this moment is not 100½ resolved.
    From the first moment, I have said that GeoDirectory is the better directory plugin.
    My review is a critic review but only with the objective of improve the potencial of GeoDirectory.
    I hope you understand me…
