Hi all, I have what is hopefully a very quick question – I have just set up a duplicate of my client’s site on xxxx.com/test, so that I can test out some plugin updates away from the live site. However, I have just received the following error message when I tried to update GeoDirectory Advance Search Filters:

“Your license has not been activated for this domain, please activate it first.”

Is there any way to get this working without purchasing a whole new license for each of your premium extensions, simply so we can run them in a sub-folder? Thanks in advance for any help you can offer? Would changing the hosts file on my computer be a good workaround?

    Kind regards,

    Hi Janet,

Thanks for your post. As mentioned in our product subscription page https://wpgeodirectory.com/downloads/membership/ , you’re allowed to activate our products on Unlimited domains. Could you share your Website WP admin access in private reply so that I could forward this to a developer for further investigation?

    Thanks!

Just de-activate and activate the license again if you changed domain.
    Let us know.

    Hi Kor and Guust,

Great idea! That solved it – deactivating and reactivating has allowed me to upgrade without a problem.

However, one of the plugins – Custom Post Types – says that automatic upgrading is not available. What is your recommended method for getting this one upgraded? Do I need to uninstall and re-install? Will that lose my data?

Thanks so much for all your help so far.

    Kind regards,

Hi Nathan, you can delete the addon using FTP and then upload the new files using FTP too.
Or you can use this plugin: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/useful-plugins/#easy

    Thanks
