I have a menu link to the location /places/new-york/. If somebody creates a listing with the name “New York”, the location page will be replaced by the listing page.

On a separate note, there’s a bug with views that only have one listing: The map will have a zoom level of 0.

    Hi Adam,

I can’t recreate the first point on my dev site, can you provide wp-admin details in a private reply and the links of how to recreate?

Point 2 i guess you mean zoomed in too far? 0 zoom would be zoomed out all the way. If it’s got auto zoom to fit then that is what its supposed to do but maybe we can add a slight limit in this case.

    Thanks,

    Stiofan

The directory pages are explained here: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/layout/#directory

I’ll get Stiofan to look at the breadcrumb issue. Thanks.

I think it would make sense to use /location/ urls in the breadcrumb instead of /place/ urls? It isn’t good SEO if /place/new-york/ and /location/new-york/ have duplicated content. Furthermore, I can use the menu manager to add Places to my menu, but not Locations. The combination of these these things led me to overlook /location/ urls entirely.

    Hi Kiran,

I just noticed that the error also applies to categories. A place with name “Lodging” will replace a category archive with the same name. Can you upload the Location Manager plugin via plugins > add new > upload? If not I’ll setup a temporary FTP account.

    Thanks

    Hi Adam,

    Please check now.
Issues has been fixed that reported at – https://wpgeodirectory.com/support/topic/huge-bug-listing-url-overrides-location-url/#post-348053
With this patch, other problem also has been fixed reported at here – https://wpgeodirectory.com/support/topic/huge-bug-listing-url-overrides-location-url/#post-349201

    FYI:
I have updated changes on dev version, so can’t overwrite all files by uploading whole plugin on your site.
But don’t worry i have managed it via plugin editor. I have updated my changes in file via plugin editor.

    Let us know.

    Thanks,
    Kiran
