Import Export is not working

    Hi guys,
    I used the same version of GDV2 to export from my site. Tried to Import into a fresh install of my site…It didn’t work.

    No. Still not resolved. Please see attached files if you can Import in your GDV2 Demo environments and advise. Thanks.

    Hello,

    the settings export does not contain CPT settings like custom fields.
    The export options are not designed to be able to copy out the GD features into another site, which is what it seems like you are trying to do.

    Hi Alex,
    I’m not sure I follow what you mean by “not designed to be able to copy out the GD features into another site”.
    – I exported the setting to csv/json from my site
    – I moved my site to a new hosting provider & Did a clean Theme + GDV2 plugins install.
    – I tried to Import them into my site
    Isn’t that the purpose of Export/Import?
    Please advise. Thanks.

    Settings exports the settings from

    GeoDirectory – Settings

    But doesn’t export settings in

    CPT – Custom Fields, Tabs, General, Packages, Sorting

    Ok. Understood.
    Basically what I’m trying to do is just Import the attached files. If I can do that without any errors, I’m all set. Thanks.

    Yes. Each file attached is of a different Import type. Non of them work.

    gd_dealcategory_0202190214 – to import, the cpt must exist
    gd_cat_locations_0202190215 – to import, the cpt and the categories must exist
    gd_event_0202190213 – to import, the cpt and all matching custom fields and categories must exist
    geodirectory-settings-1549073709 – to import, all the same plugins/addons must be installed

    if you are getting the csv error, you will need the fix kor linked above.
    For the JSON error, we can take a look, but it would be best to do so on a staging site.
