Hello. I’ve been tasked with updating a client’s website from GeoDirectory v1 to GeoDirectory v2. For various reasons, I’ve decided to build the site from scratch on a fresh WordPress install. I’ve installed GeoDirectory v2, the Supreme Directory theme, and applicable plugins (Location Manager, Custom Post Types, Advanced Search).

Now I need to import the data from the old site into the new site but I’m running into a host of issues when attempting this. I’ve exported everything from the old site to CSV files (categories, listings, locations, locations & category descriptions, etc).

First of all, is there a specific order in which these should be imported?

When I try to import my places, it seems successful, however the street address does not get imported. I’m guessing this might be because in GeoDirectory v1 the field was named address and now its named street (just a hunch). Is there a conversion tool or instructions somewhere to make this import work?

When I try to import categories it tells me they are already added. But they don’t show up and when I use PHPMyAdmin to explore the tables, I do not see the data anywhere. What table do the categories go into?

    Thanks,
    Daniel
