Is google API hidden and which one works

    Hello GeoDirectory team,

    although I really liked open maps I would like to switch to google maps.
    If I insert an api via Design>Maps, will it be hidden when people have a look at my website’s code?

    Talking about the google apis, I have another question.
    The “Google Maps Embed API” offers an “Unlimited free usage”. Do you know if the google maps embed api works with GD or do I have to use a particular one, like for example the Javascript API?

    The key will show up in the source of the website, but we recommend to limit your key to your site only, see point 10 of https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/add-google-api-key/

    The “Google Maps Embed API” is not the same as the API required for GD.
    You need the Google Maps JavaScript API as explained at https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/add-google-api-key/
