Issue trying to assign categories to places/events

    Hi,

    We’re trying to figure out an issue we’re having with the places post type within the plugin. We have the plugin defaults imported so we can see that there are categories added and we can see places with categories assigned.

    When we go into the main edit screen, we cannot see an option anywhere to assign categories to the place? The only place we seem to be able to access it is within the “Quick Edit” function in WordPress.

    It’s the same story for when we go to add a new place, we cannot see anyway of assigning a category?

    This is the same for both the Places and Events post types.

    Hi Joe,

    Thanks for your post. It looks like the attached. If it’s not displaying on your end, make sure the category custom field is set to “active” as explained here https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/places/custom/ .
