    Dear,

I’m trying to change my website language to dutch, but i can’t get it to work. Ive followed all the steps in the LanguageCore, and worked with POedit etc, but it does’nt work.

When i edit something in the PO file, it does not change on my website, it stays English.

    Please help!

    (used geodirectory-nl.mo/po)

    HI Lars,

You can find most translations here: https://wpgeodirectory.com/translate/projects/geodirectory/nl/default/

Your file should be named: geodirectory-nl_NL.po

    Thanks,

    Stiofan

    Hello!

Some text and headers can be changed under the GeoDirectory settings, and a few more are available through the widgets or email notifications. The remaining text not accessible through those pages can still be changed by making a copy of the translation file and editing the text into what you need.

Please first check GD > Titles & Metas

If you don’t find what you are looking for there, more options are available with the Custom Post Type Addon at GD > Custom Post Types ( https://wpgeodirectory.com/downloads/custom-post-types/ )

Finally, all additional text is available in the translation files. You can open up the file for your language, change the text, and load it to the language folder. There are separate files fr the core plugin, addons, and the theme. You also need to make sure you have selected the language for your site, don’t forget that of course.

    Here are the complete instructions:

You can find complete instructions here: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/translate-core/
Each add-on has translation files, too: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/translating-addons/

Once you change one ‘string’ and see it working, you will probably want to change many more to make your site stand out and ‘speak’ to your customers.

Let us know how it goes!

If you have already checked that your site’s language is set correctly and that the newly translated file is in the correct location, we can take a look at your site. Please make a private reply with the following information.

Hi Lars, you never uploaded the /wp-content/languages/plugins/geodirectory-nl_NL.mo file to your site.
    Please check now.
    Thanks
