I’m sorry, but, not to overlook something obvious, have you tried adding full location to the URL?

In your permalinks the current setting is one that may give you trouble over time. I am not sure where that is coming from but it could be something the host requires.

Try adding location to the URL to see if the issue persists.

    Hi Vanessa,

I can replicate it on your site and i have tried all the things i can think that it might be on our end without any luck.
    (i have deactivated it again)

Is you dev server also NGINX?

When it happens its looking for a post and not a page, i’m not sure why but i suspect it just a plugin conflict, tomorrow i’ll run some more tests to try and get to the bottom of it.

    Thanks,

    Stiofan

    Thanks Stiofan,
Eager to see what you find.

Both dev and production servers are exactly the same (on nginx), only difference is that production has full page cache on (we tried turning it off to see if that helped, and it didn’t)

Hey, just checking in to see if you have any updates. I’d love to be able to turn on our events and places pages again 🙂

    Hi Vanessa,

I have done some debugging on live & staging site. It seems something one live that conflicts with GeoDirectory.

We need to disable plugin one by one to check is is there any plugins that conflicts. On staging site this not happening so there must be site specific issue with live site.
Also i noticed some plugin menu like Locations, Post Types, Events are not visible under GeoDirectory > Settings page.

Let us know do you allow to disable plugins to check more?

    Kiran

No, please don’t disable any plugins on the site.

I’m sure it was a recent update to GeoDirectory which caused this.
Do you have older versions of GeoDirectory and the add-ons I can install to confirm this?

Also, I have disabled GeoDirectory since it causes 404s on the site. If you reenable to do debugging, please disable it again when you are done.

The issue is on the live site only.
Try this conflict test with GD enabled to see which plugin might be causing the conflict.

To let you know, the recent update to GeoDirectory seems to have fixed the issue.
It appears it was not a plugin conflict, but rather a bug in GeoDirectory.
