Let members set default location?

    Is there any way I can let my members set default locations?

    For example someone living in Paris to have the option to set Paris as it’s home or something( via GD setting, outputted from Buddypress profile) and Paris to appear in “current location” shortcode when it’s not overriden by something else, like near me or a selection from location switcher?

    Hi,

    no that is not possible.

    Users can use the location switcher to move to a different city, but only the admin can set the default location.

    Not possible at all or not possible at this moment but it could in the future?
    This would be a handy feature for the situation where user X living in a city would’t have to select it’s city any time it opens the site. And to use the location switcher as an “else” for the situation where tommorow would trabel in another city and needs to know what restaurants( hotels … etc) finds there.

    Well I’ve looked at the already posted entries ones 2 years old and I guess I was a little optimistic. But who knows 🙂
