Limit characters in custom post type text or textarea field

    Hi all,

    Wanting to know whether it is possible to limit the number of characters a user enters into a text or textarea field created as part of a custom post type. e.g. custom post type company and the text or textarea is ‘about’ so they can summarise their business but want to avoid ‘War and Peace’ as this will be used as a listings summary.

    Any clue how I can limit the field entry to a number of chars?
