Listing slider not working

    Hello,

    I have the problem that the listing slider widget is not working. It simply doesn’t display on the page. E.g. there should be a listing slider in the sidebar of my homepage at https://www.barn-door.co.uk

    Sorry, I didn’t realise that. The listing has a default image- can that not be used?

    Hello,

    That is not how GD works; instead GD doesn’t treat category default header images as featured images, just as listing placeholders to avoid blank space.

    Now, in the past, some members have gone on to force the category header default to be treated as a ‘full’ WP featured image, which then qualifies the listing for the slider. It is not just that the listing should have an image, but that it should be the featured image.

    There are various plugins available from WordPress that set images in that way, but we don’t recommend a specific one for the purpose.

    I tested it with a listing that did have a featured image, and it’s working fine. Sorry for the trouble.
