Listing url prefix no longer works

    Just updated to V2, it’s been a bit of a mess.

    In V1, under listing detail permalink settings, I set the permalink as ‘places.’ I now no longer see an option for setting the listing detail permalink. And if I visit /places/ url, the layout is different, and I have no way of changing it.

    Another issue is that the pages I can edit, the sidebars no longer work. Basically all the sidebars I used to have access to are gone, and when I make sidebars and populate with GD widgets, none of them work.

    The listing detail permalink is now set at Places > Settings > General > Slug

    To change the CPT or category layouts, visit GD > Settings > Pages > GD Archive template.

    V2 uses your normal theme’s sidebar.

    We have released GeoDirectory v2.0.0.59 recently which includes Unicon theme compatibility. Please update it and let us know it not resolves problem.

    Kiran,
    I updated the development website. I use the /places/ url as set in the location general settings. When I enter the /places/ url, the sidebar is still appearing as a generic blog sidebar, despite setting it as a custom sidebar. Am I missing something?

    Hi Chris,

    I have created sidebar “GD Archive” and assigned to GD Archive & GD Search pages.
    I have assigned GD Listing sidebar to GD Details page.
    I added following line in child theme sidebar.php

    if(is_page() || is_page_template('page-blog.php') || ( function_exists( 'geodir_is_geodir_page' ) && geodir_is_geodir_page() ) ){

    Now all pages are working with sidebar set in page setting.

    Please check and let us know.
