Hi, I’m adding the country (canada), region, city, longitude and latitude in the settings, however, when I go to add a location and use the address that I added, it says ‘cannot find location’ (or something like that)

Please see attached screenshots – I’m attempting to add a location in ‘Carbonear’ but it’s not taking for some reason.

FYI The only thing that seems to work is if we zoom in on the location and street and put the pin exactly at the address…

Are you using Google or OSM?

In either case, if you position the pin in a place where they have no data, then that can happen, certainly.

Can you share the address here in a private reply?

And you said you are typing in the address and setting the pin and lat/lon manually?

    We are using OSM.

The issue seems to be that when we add a place/location data including address, longitude and latitude, it doesn’t show up on the map, and indicates that it can’t find the location, even if we added that location in the settings…

Any further thoughts are greatly appreciated.

Unfortunately I can’t share the address as we are behind a firewall. But, if you would like me to capture some screen shots, I can do that. Just let me know what you need to see.

    Many thanks for your time.

Another note: it seems that some entries will save and some won’t. I’m attaching a screenshot of one entry that will not save. when you hit publish, it just never finishes and you have to back out of the settings.

It looks like OSM coverage is pretty sparse in that area:

    https://www.openstreetmap.org/search?query=85%20highroad%20south%20carbonear#map=16/47.7458/-53.2227

Try your full address there, you can see the data they have. If they don’t have the coverage you want then you may want to try Google.

If you already have all your location data, you could try importing it directly.

About saving, do you mean the form reloads empty? Are you running a cache plugin on admin side? Is the server performing with enough resources? Are the plugins network activated?
