I have installed my Google API and set the ‘default’ map location. when entering a location, I can set the map to a location. However, when I try to view the location I have created – the Map tab takes me to Latvia – however too, when I scroll the map over.. there is my map pointer where it belongs.

Why doesn’t the map ZOOM to the Map Pointer?

Please post your URL and WP admin details in a private reply, and also the URL of that listing, and we will have a look.
    Thanks

    Hello,

the details page will not behave as expected if you use the ELementor page editor on it.

Save the template you have used and apply it to a Themer layout for the places single first. If the issue persist after doing that, write back and we can take another look.

    Hello Alex,
I tried creating the page using ‘elementor’ using the suggestions you outlined.. the map acted the same and, the Photo Slider Quit Working..

So, I have elected to use the default page created by Geodirectory.. the Slider works as advertised but the map STILL doesn’t Zoom to the location set by the software (instead it plops down in the same place for ANY of the locations).

Please help – I like this software I want to add it to my site and will purchase a license if I can work out these few problems.

You are using multiple Google Map API plugins or settings.
Delete the API keys everywhere except in GD and that should fix it

    Let us know.

Thank you for having a go at the problem – if removing all the other uses of the Google Maps is what it’ll take to fix the problem – I’ll have to study WHICH program doesn’t get the MAPS.
    Thanks again!

All programs will still get the map if you leave the key only active for GD.
All other programs will use the GD key.
    Thanks

Thank you again Guust, actually I have found the problem – it was another plugin called, “Boosted Elements” for Elementor. and the Geo seems to be working maps as expected!
