The map displays fine when the user uses the search bar, however when I click on the links in the category widget. The map does not display. It only shows an empty box where the map should be.

I am guessing you still have to add a Gmap Listings widget to the GD Listings Top section at Appearance > Widgets.

Let us know how you went. Thanks

    Hello!

You are using Supreme Directory theme, so, the map will be included automatically on the listing page.

#1 There listings with no categories assigned.
Categories are required, and GD won’t work without them.
Please assign categories to all your listings.

#2 Plugins are out of date.
    Mismatched versions produce unpredictable results.
Please add licensing and updates for all GD Plugins.

You turned of the right section at GD > Design > Listings tab.
I turned it back on, that is the part that contains the map.

    Please check. Thanks.
