Multiple WordPress Roles

    Hello,

    We have two custom roles on our site. The WordPress New User Default Role is set to one of them. We would like to have the ability to register users to either role.

    As it stands now (if I am correct), registration through GeoDirectory can only register the user and assign the New User Default Role, correct?

    Is there anyway to get the GeoDirectory to allow a choice between two roles at registration?

    Hi,

    this is not possible without a customization.

    There could be a plugin allowing yopu to do that… but I’m currently not aware of any.

    Thank you for the reply.

    I would think that this would be a feature that many people would want. Otherwise, how can a site have more than one member type, when there is only one registration form/process?

    Membership plugins like S2member allow you to have different levels on registration.
    You can then only allow one of these levels to add a GD listing, for example.

    Hi,

    as far as I know, it has never been requested. Feature requests are here: https://wpgeodirectory.com/requests/ I could be wrong, but if someone requested it, I’m sure it is not that popular.

    Probably because as Guust says there are extra plugins to do such things.

    GeoDirectory was designed as an open directory, where everyone can submit listings and reviews just like Yelp and other similar platforms.
