I have purchased the GeoDirectory plugin membership with all the bells and whistles. I am using a third-party theme and would like for the directory to display on a page that I created called directory. I have downloaded GeoDirectory and also downloaded and installed all features that I would like to use (just as the instructions stated) My goal is to build out the page to look similar to the Supreme Theme. My issue is first how do I get all features of the directory to work just on the pages associated with the directory without new widgets from the directory being added to other parts of my site? For example, I don’t want a directory search on my homepage or contact page, etc… What settings or short code can I use to start building out my main landing page for the directory using the widgets? I read that you can run the setup wizard as much as needed but I was only able to run it once during setup. I don’t see a section called Help as the instructions and video indicate to get back to the wizard. Last thing, I have a pro license of Elementor but I have run into issues trying to use the tool in the past few months of purchase. Do you have a better recommendation? I am using GeoDirectory v2 plugins. Once I get assistance with these simple things I can pretty much figure it out from there.
June 29, 2019 at 11:47 pm #495478Hello,
for planning your site, if you have only one CPT, you could set the CPT archive (CPT Slug) as /directory/ or, more commonly, make a front page at /directory/

Oops! Something went wrong.
This page didn’t load Google Maps correctly. See the JavaScript console for technical details.June 29, 2019 at 11:57 pm #495481Got it! found the video for the fix that GeoDirectory provided. Installed API KEY for Google Maps
June 30, 2019 at 12:03 am #495484I am using a third-party theme and would like for the directory to display on a page that I created called directory.
I suggest you go to
GD > Settings > Pages > Location page > Edit page
and rename the page and/or permalink/slug to Directory. My issue is first how do I get all features of the directory to work just on the pages associated with the directory without new widgets from the directory being added to other parts of my site?
GD widgets have options which pages you want to show them on, see image 1.
For example, I don’t want a directory search on my homepage or contact page, etc…
GD Search will not be added there unless you actually do that yourself.
What settings or short code can I use to start building out my main landing page for the directory using the widgets?
Have a look at
GD > Settings > Pages > Location page > Edit page
That will be the start page for your directory. It has the shortcodes ready, and then you can use the shortcode builder or blocks to adjust as required, and you can also add widgets as explained earlier.
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/geodirectory/shortcode-builder/I read that you can run the setup wizard as much as needed but I was only able to run it once during setup. I don’t see a section called Help as the instructions and video indicate to get back to the wizard.
Go to GD > Settings, and click on “Help” in the very top right corner.

Wordpress has enough built-in design tools foro most users, including the Gutenberg blocks: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/integrations/gutenberg/
But you should be able to use most builders too, but it does not always make things easier than not using one:

Thanks
June 30, 2019 at 1:36 am #495499Thank you so much. I actually did rename the location page and was able to work from that. I found that I didn’t need a build tool after installing the demo content I was able to work from that by just adding and rearranging the shortcodes. I managed to get everything looking and working great.

June 30, 2019 at 3:50 am #495508Actually, I was able to get the API code installed but still, I am unable to see the map. Inside of the Location screen, the message shows “No Records Found
Sorry, no records were found. Please adjust your search criteria and try again.” “This page didn’t load Google Maps correctly. See the JavaScript console for technical details.” I thought maybe I had to add a new item but when I try to the map does not show on the new event screen.June 30, 2019 at 4:07 am #495510Please post your URL and WP admin details in a private reply and we will check your settings if you like.

Your key may be ready, but you have to set up billing and APIs:
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/integrations/google/June 30, 2019 at 5:30 am #495520I was sure that I had already added my payment information as I have had the account for about three months now. I did go back through the settings and found that the developer that I was working with did not select the options in the enable maps section. I have retrieved the new code and still unable to see the map. The login should work not sure why it was set to subscriber.
