Just curious how necessary it is to use the Ninja forms plugin with GD? I would like to use a different contact form plugin but not sure how embedded Ninja Forms is in the GD landscape. If I remove the Ninja Form plugin will that affect anything in GD?

    Hi there,

Thanks for your post. For now, GD is only compatible with Ninja Forms and here are some setup instructions https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/integrations/ninja-forms/

Send Enquiry with NF/GD Ninja Forms and Claim Post with GD Ninja Forms both use Ninja Forms. Disable NF and those won’t work anymore.

Thanks. Alex here is the issue. I have been working on site page speed and following the advice of the experts over at http://pagepipe.com and they mentioned this

“Here’s the list of 58 Contact Form plugins: (ranked by smallest download size to largest)” and Ninja Forms is the 2nd heaviest download size. See screenshot.

Not the lightest download but recommended by them is:

“Our recommendation for general use on extreme speed sites: Simple Basic Contact Form. But it’s a matter of what works for you and your audience, so test.” And they warn against using Contact Form 7 and it is way up on the list. Not sure

So now the dilemma of what to do. GD is already plugin heavy so just trying to find and tweak some little gains where I can.
