Hey I’m not sure where to post this but I have a few issues with the Supreme Theme.
1. How do I make it so the images on the restaurants or the places aren’t parallax? The header image at the top of the page.
2. When I click add listing from the front end, it works for places, but not events. Events aren’t showing at all.
3. How do I add an image for a certain location, say London. How do I change the picture at the top?
Thanks!
Regards,
ChrisNovember 19, 2016 at 3:03 am #3066231. I’ll get Paolo to look at your first question.
2. Do you allow events to be added from the front end?

November 19, 2016 at 6:31 am #306656Hi Guust,
1. Great, Thanks I’ll stay tuned.
2. Yes, I can see it in my menu, I can click add an event, import from facebook, publish. It just won’t show up. It goes to draft (As I set it up this way). Once I publish it, it still doesn’t show.
3. Thanks 🙂
November 19, 2016 at 6:44 am #306657Hi Guust,
Just wanted to ask. I used the multilocations tool to upload an image for United Kingdom, my wp-admin page refused to load now. The site loads, the rest of my multisite loads, but the wp-admin for my site with geodirectory on won’t load now.
It’s just constantly buffering, the spinning circle? I’m about to ask my webhost about it, any idea why this happened?
November 19, 2016 at 6:56 am #306659Can you post your URL and WP-admin details and also FTP details in a private reply, then we will have a check for you.
November 19, 2016 at 7:44 am #306663Hi Guust,
I’ve solved my issue, had to delete plugins and cookies for chrome then reload. It does take a while to upload an image in the multilocations tool, but it has worked.
The parallax now and the event tool are still a problem. Yes I can see the add listing for event in my navigation menu, but it doesn’t publish it (I can see the event in the backend)
Thanks
November 19, 2016 at 8:07 am #306669Ok I found out why the events weren’t showing, I posted the wrong event. It already expired.
A question I’m wondering however.. Is it possible to only show events when events is selected by the user? I want the events to show in the same way as the places. While I have events selected, places still show in the popular section and the events only show up on the map.
Can I make it so when I click events, popular places changes to popular events?
Thanks
November 19, 2016 at 8:14 am #306670You can link to /events/ or use a popular post widget set to events only etc. You can have more than one popular post widget, so use one for events and one for places if you like.
Clicking on Events in the ribbon of the Home/location map, only changes the listings on the map, nothing else.
I hope things are a bit clearer.
November 19, 2016 at 1:00 pm #306749Hi Guust,
Will you notify me about the parallax here, once solved?
Thanks
November 19, 2016 at 1:19 pm #306750Yes, when Paolo comes back on.
November 19, 2016 at 3:56 pm #306762Another problem,
I can’t change my footer text. I’ve been in the customiser and footer. But all that’s there is text colour and background colour.
November 19, 2016 at 8:53 pm #306931To stop the parallax effect, please add this css:
.featured-img { background-position: 50% 50% !important; }This will stop it everywhere, page and listings.
To edit your footer text see this: https://wpgeodirectory.com/support/topic/cant-edit-copyright-footer-text-in-supreme-directory-theme/#post-301839
Thanks
November 20, 2016 at 11:52 am #307133Hi Paolo,
I tried adding the code in that forum thread to both the footer script code in the design scripts, but also into the same place I used the code for the parallax code you supplied.
Neither worked.
November 20, 2016 at 12:30 pm #307152The parallax code is CSS code so belongs in your style.css or you can use a CSS plugin, see https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/customizing-your-style/
The footer code belongs in your functions.php file or you can use the Code Snippet plugin, see https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/faqs/how-do-i-change-the-footer-text-in-supreme/
November 21, 2016 at 1:46 pm #307597Hi Guust,
Thanks to both you and paolo, things are working perfectly now. I have another question involving the header images that are no longer parallax.
If you look at both screenshots, the first which shows the homepage, the second shows one of the places listed.
If you look at the difference in the images, it’s cutting off parts of the picture when you click on the place.
How do I fix it so it isn’t cutting off parts of the picture, or is that a compromise I have to deal with as a result of using CSS styling to remove the parallax scroll. Is there no way of fitting the images to the picture box?
Thanks again!
