Permalinks settings are not enabled.

    Good afternoon,

    We are following your instructions on https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/geodirectory/getting-started/.
    One of the first steps is ’Edit and Save WordPress Permalinks Settings’, however the radio buttons are disabled.

    Please let us know how to proceed

    please disable non-GD plugins to see which one is causing that conflict and let us know what you find >

    The only plugins we have installed are the ones you told us to install in the documentation. They’re all made by your company.

    We even disabled all your plugins and left only GeoDirectory, but the permalink is still disabled. Do we need to do something first, before they become enabled? Like add a listing, or add a category? We are following your documentation and if we need to do something before you have to edit and let us know.

    We are on the Directory Starter that we downloaded from you. What theme do you suggest?

    Hi, we would need to look into it further with WP Admin and FTP.
    This isn’t a known issue (first time I have heard of it).
    Could be something in your htaccess file or a setting from the host.

    I am sorry but we can’t provide either. I suggest you follow the setup instructions exactly as they appear in the documentation because that is exactly what we did.

    Solved.

    Permalink settings have to be changed from Plain to Post Name.
    Wordpress > Settings > Permalinks > Common Settings > Change Plain to Post Name.

    After you’ve done this, GD Permalink settings are enabled. Please add this to your Getting Started and Permalinks documentation.
