    Hi,

Can you tell me how the popular location works please? Id expect the popular location to work by ordering them by the most popular as the name suggests. My directory is ordering the locations alphabetically.

Also, when clicking a location the URL is broken, its missing a ‘/’ after location.

Can anyone help with this, the dev url is; http://ukbusinessdirectoryltd.attercopia.co.uk/

Can you post your WP admin details?
It looks like you got your multilocation set up incorrectly.

    Thanks

    I corrected your WP permalinks:
    https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/basic-installation/#postnames

Your locations all should be city-county-country, see https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/definitions/#location

    Thanks

    Hi Guust,

Thanks for fixing the URL, with regards to cleaning that page, i’ve not yet got round to do the css there.

About the Locations being in order of most popular, i’m not sure i follow. Checking the Location ‘Eggborough’ for example, Is set City > County > Country.

What is the problem there exactly?

    Thanks for your help.

    Hi Guust,

Yes thats the data we got from the client (we imported this, We are waiting for the client to clean this up.

However, I cant understand why that would cause the listings to show in an alphabetical order?

When we imported the listings, it built the locations itself. How can we avoid this when just importing all listings?

    Thanks

    if i go to this location for instance;

    http://ukbusinessdirectoryltd.attercopia.co.uk/location/hertfordshire/abbots-langley/

    It has 3 listings, where;

    http://ukbusinessdirectoryltd.attercopia.co.uk/location/cambridgeshire/abbots/

That one only has 1 listing. Yet it is ranked above due to the alphabetical order.

    Also,

if i am on this page; http://ukbusinessdirectoryltd.attercopia.co.uk/location/cambridgeshire/abbots/

It shows abbots has accommodation(1), but when clicked it takes you back to all accommodation listings, not related to the Abbots location.

Another problem on this page, when your on this page and click the logo, it doesn’t return you to the home page.

I’m really confused with all these bugs?

    Thanks

    Hi,

I believe the popular location widget is ordered Alphabetically, but I could be wrong, I asked to the developers to verify and let us know.

    FYI you imported listing with:

    1) city as region, neighbourhood as city

    United Kingdom-London-Chelsea

correct should be: United Kingdom (country)-Greater London (region)-London (city)-Chelsea (Hood)

    2) country abbreviation as region

    United Kingdom-UK-London

correct should be: United Kingdom -Greater London -London

    3) street address as city

    United Kingdom-Surrey-125-127 Lordship Lane

correct should be: United Kingdom – Surrey – city name

You should correct all of them.

    Thanks

Yes just now its just ordering by a-z, i’ll add a task to add some ordering parameters to the widget.

    Hi both,

    Thanks for your replies.

Id of expected with it being called popular locations to be ordered by most popular.

If you could add some ordering parameters that would be great.

With regards to the data, the client gave us that spreadsheet to import, and there are some 20,000 listings so I will need to now wait for them to fix this.

    Thanks all
