    Hello everyone.
I have doubts about the positioning that GD offers, it has been two months since I installed it on my page http://www.HotelesEnElHuila.com and when I search in google: hoteles en el huila, it does not even appear in the search results.

I thought it was a problem with the Yoast, and I uninstalled it.
I do not know what to do so that the hotels registered on the website are positioned.

    Hello!

Your site is looking good! Nice work on making it look unique.

GD is fully compatible with Yoast SEO

    https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/useful-plugins/#social

GD also has built in meta and titles features:

    GD > Meta & Titles

    https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/gd-core-plugin-titles-metas/

You should definitely consider using both of those options if SEO is important to you.

    Thanks!

    HI Catalina,

creating the listing and adding yoast to serve better meta data to search engine, is just one step of the process.

For Google to show your website in his results in top positions, you need to become a popular website and website popularity for Google is measured through the number and quality of links from other websites pointing to your website. Those are called backlinks and the techniques to get them are called backlink building.

I suggest you have a look at sites like these to learn how to start your backlink building campaigns:

    Hi Catalina,

I just did a Google search for a couple of the hotels on your site and you appeared on the first page of results.

Have you set up your site with Google webmaster (search console) and submitted a sitemap, I would also do this with Bing and Yandex.

I would also set up a Twitter page, Facebook and LinkedIn page and then link them back to the website.

I would also have a blog page and post local news/events information about the area, ideally one a week, this will keep a regular feed going out about the site.

If you use a plugin like Jetpack you can auto send a blog news post from your website to all your social media platforms – saving you time and only having to write something once.

    Just a thought 🙂
