    Hello,

I plan to setup several GD subsites in my WP Multisite network.

To avoid having to enter the license key of each GD AddOn for every subsite I made the changes to be able to use the Extensions page, as described here:

    https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/addons/installing-addons/

“If you have purchase a new membership or are using the membership key for the first time and want to switch from individual license keys to using the membership license key, follow these steps:

    * Check your GD Uninstall options, make sure nothing is checked in -> GeoDirectory – Settings – Uninstall (nothing checked)
    * Visit WP Backend -> Plugins – Deactivate all GD Addons (leave core activated)
    * Delete all GeoDirectory Addons (leave core activated)
    * Add your key as described above and install the addons you need.”

Apparently, it worked fine for the main site, since in its WP Plugins page all the GD AddOns appear with “License key” in green.

However, in the second site all the GD AddOns appear with “License key” in red and the notice “This plugin requires a valid licence key to enable automatic updates.”.

The second site is mapped to a different domain than the main site, according to this WP documentation:

    https://wordpress.org/support/article/wordpress-multisite-domain-mapping/

Could this be the problem? Is there some workaround to avoid having to enter the license key of each GD AddOn for every domain mapped subsite?

I look forward to your reply.

Thank you very much once again for your help.

    Best regards.

    Hello,

For now, we are focused on making sure that in a multisite, you can install WP Easy Updates and Network Activate, then, on a single subsite activate all individual addons and install licenses for all the plugins you need and update them there on the single subsite. If that isn’t working let us know.

Other sites, you can license them if you want to make the red links disappear and there isn’t a workaround for it at this time, we are considering changes for how this works for multisite in the future.

    Hi Alex,

Thank you very much for your response.

Just to be sure that I understand what you mean:

    1) With WP Multisite, on the subsites with domain mapping it is normal that the red link shows, correct?

    2) With WP Multisite, on the subsites without domain mapping the link should appear in green, not in red, correct?

    3) With WP Multisite, on the subsites with domain mapping the Extension page can be used to activate GD AddOns, correct?

    4) With WP Multisite, on the subsites with domain mapping, automatic updates are applied normally, correct?

    5) With WP Multisite, on the subsites with domain mapping, I should enter the individual license keys if I want to make the red links disappear, correct?

I look forward to your reply.

Thank you very much once again for your help.

    Best regards.

Domain mapping does not change anything.

GD and Addons only need to be licensed and activated and updated on a single subsite.

On any other site on the network, yes, enter the keys to make the red text disappear.
