    These questions relate to https://www.yourlocalconnect.co.uk.

    I have been playing a bit more and now have six questions, possibly eight.

    1) When a Location is selected via the location switcher on the home page, can the page refresh to stay on the home page? This happens for your demo site https://coastradar.com.
    2) Once a location has been set and say a search has been selected via the CPT category, is it possible to make the location stay fixed with a different category is then selected. This worked for V1.
    3) I had a widget “CPT Listings”. This has now disappeared? Not clear what I have done? Anyhow, I would like to add my own CPT listings Links i.e. Businesses, Attractions, Clubs etc. However, I am not sure of the coding to use, but would like the link to take the user to the CPT by the location set. V1 had a link like this: https://www.yourlocalconnect.com/?geodir_search=1&stype=gd_businesses&s=+&snear=&set_location_type=3&set_location_val=2&sgeo_lat=&sgeo_lon=
    4) When in the details page, I would to have a button that takes the user back to the search page. I have used a back button, but would like the coding for a link that takes the user back to the search page for the CPT and location selected. Is this possible?
    5) When selecting a city etc in the search box, is there a way for the list of potential cities being spelt to load up quicker? On this, is there a way to just show cities and not to include regions?
    6) is there a way not to include a reply in the comments box. I have used CSS to hide the option.

    1. That is not our demo site, that is the private site of a member. In all cases the home page and the location page will be difference, but you can use the same layout or content as you like. When a new location page is chosen it will open the location page.

    2. Yes, when choosing from category URls on the detail or archive page.
    3. This was recently added again in 20045, try it and let us know.
    4. That would be a customization
    5. Speed is most likely related to server or database performance. We are considering additional options for future versions.
    6. Not at this time, but we will consider it. Ratings can be set to optional, but not comments (because ratings are attached to comments, and comments cannot be empty).

    I would like to explore a few of my questions further as these do affect the function of the site.
    1. Understand.
    2. On the home page, I have the search bar. If I select Businesses and say Cardiff as a city, the search results show ‘Businesses’ in ‘Cardiff’. Now whilst in the search page, I then select a different CPT, say attractions, the City of Cardiff then disappears and all attractions show. In V1, the city name remained in the search bar when undertaking a different CPT search and all the, say attractions, for Cardiff would show. This function needs to work as in V1. Can you please explore this.
    3a. I had in my sidebar a couple of weeks ago the CPT Listing widget. I needed to reinstall a backup copy of the site. Since installing the backup copy, the CPT widget has disappeared. Is it possible to reinstall the CPT Listing widget?
    3b. The next part of this question is to create my own CPT links to add in other parts of the site. In V1, I was able to see the link and hence copy this. This needs to work for the CPT selected and for the set location. In V2, I am unable to see hence copy this link. Is it possible to provide the link information for a selection CPT say Businesses and for the location set?
    4., 5. & 6. Understand.

    I do hope you understand my queries for questions 2 and 3 and are able to help.

    2. That looks like a conflict specific to your site. Please share WP Admin and FTP so we can check on the issue.

    3a. CPT listing widget is now available for GDV2 since 20044
    3b. I don’t understand the issue. All CPT links are available in the WP Menu settings.

    Hello

    I just would like to go back to my query No. 3a. Appreciate the CPT Listings appear in the menu, but I was looking to use the CPT Listing widget in the sidebar. As said, this widget was available in my WordPress site, but has disappeared? Refer to screen shots attached. I would like to know how I can get this widget back.

    Try updating GD. It should be available in the list of widgets.
