    Hi,
The recurring event feature is not working on my site. If I add an event to the dashboard of my site it works, but if a reader tries to add an event in the front end it doesn’t.
    – They select “add event”
    – then “Recurring event”
    – then add the dates and times.
    – Hit publish.
When the “preview of the listing” comes up it has multiple dates listed.
BUT it then goes through to my drafts section and it only has one date, and the recurring option is set to “no”.

I think this is a problem that has been occcurring for a while, but I thought people must just have been adding the details incorrectly.

In the “Prices and payments” section I have the “recurring feature” turned on.

This is a pretty major problem for my site. Can someone please take a look and let me know how this can be fixed.

Also, I just noticed that the button you used to be able to tick to select different times for different days seems to have disappeared? Is this feature no longer available?

    My website is https://playinginpuddles.com.au/events/
Some of the events not working properly that are are sitting in the drafts section are:
    BMX Flatlanding – Free workshop.
    A Town Named War Boy.
    Jack and the Beanstalk

    Thank you,
    Katie

    Hi Katie,

Before we proceed further with the investigation. Could you possibly go through the conflict test? Example, deactivate all non-gd plugins. If the issue persists, kindly share WP admin access here and list the steps to replicate the said issue.

    Thanks!

Hi, It looks like someone is running tests on this on my page. Do you need anything further from me at this stage as per your email above, or is someone working on sorting out this problem?
    Thank you,
    Katie

To follow on from my last message. Someone published two “test” events on my site. I left them live for today, but have now trashed them, as it doesn’t look very professional having them up there for my readers to see. Just letting the person working on it know, so they can follow what’s happening.
    Any updates on this?
    Thanks,
    katie

    Hi Katie,

I posted an update on your other ticket.

How do you want to proceed? Can you perform the conflict test and let us know?

If not, can you setup a staging site where we can disable all non-GD plugins and change the theme?

    Hi Kor and Alex,

I have added this message to both tickets.

I performed the conflict test as you advised. I deactivated all plugins other than those for Geodirectory and then tried to add a recurring event again. I had the same problem. The recurring event defaulted back to a non-recurring event.

This is how you replicate the problem:
    1) click on this link: https://playinginpuddles.com.au/submit-an-event/
    2) Click “Add an event”
    3) Select “event” in the drop-down.
    4) choose “free event listing”
    5) in dates select “yes” for recurring event.
    6) select Custom.
    7) Click on multiple dates.
    8) Fill out other * info.
    9) Hit publish.
    10) The preview shows the multiple dates – as it should.
    11) What then lands in my drafts folder is different. The event schedule says, “no” it’s not a recurring event, and only one date (the first date) is there. See screen shots attached.
    12) When I hit publish it publishes the listing with only the first date listed.

Please let me know what you find with the recurring issue.
    Thank you,
    Katie.

ps. I have now noticed that the “Different event times” button only comes up if you select “custom” rather than if you select “Daily”, “weekly” etc.

    Update posted here: https://wpgeodirectory.com/support/topic/new-listing-keeps-returning-to-draft/#post-423951

I think the two issues might be related.
