    Hello
I want a guest to be able to add a listing without having to become a user (I am operating with a multisite).

Once the form has been submitted to add the listing, the listing information is loaded into WordPress and the automated emails are sent, but it then tells the user that the their Cart is empty, when it should ask them to enter the billing information and pay?

    Please help!

    Thanks

    Hello,

A payment is always going to be associated with a user.

You can use the option to allow posting without logging in, yes. Is that what you are doing?

You should not get an error like that, though.

You have a cart that is active? And you are testing with a package that is not free?

    Hi

Yes, so basically when a user is logged in, they can go through the whole process. However if not logged in, then it simply says cart is empty.

9/10 the users that access this page to submit a listing will not currently have an account with us, so obviously this isn’t going to be an ideal setup – is there a way we can ask the user to enter a login whilst they are submitted their listing which will then log them in once they submit, therefore allowing them to see the product in the cart?

    Thanks

Are you using this feature now?

If not try that and let us know.

    Hello

Yes, we are using this and I have just tested this again now by using another email address so that it creates a new account, and it still didn’t allow me to see the cart?

IS there a way that will allow the user to become logged in once they press submit and their silent account has been created? As if so, this will then rectify our issue here

    Thanks

Guest checkout is possible, but only after the invoice has been created, and creating the invoice requires the user to be logged in with the listing having been submitted prior to entering the checkout page.

The option to “Allow posting by not logged in users” is design for use in cases where the user that is posting the event is not going to be managing the listing going ahead. For example, for community events so that visitors can quickly share about an event but not manage the event going forward.

I understand you would like to have that feature changed to do login also, but GD does not have any login related features at this time and there are no plans to add them back in.

To use GD with WPI for paid listings meaning getting the user registered and logged in using either the default WordPress /login.php or with another plugin.

This is made easier with GeoDirectory and UsersWP integration. Are you currently using that? If you are please post questions for support with registration or login to the UsersWP support forum at https://userswp.io/support/
