    Hi Stiofan

Thank you for all you have done, but there is still another related problem I only found last night.

I just want to check/add a couple of things later, will come back to you on this.

    Kind regards.

    Hi Stiofan

This might be a little off topic, but for me, it is still related as it can resolve one of my issues.

Can the map be set to display all CPTs at the same time? If so, it will make my life a lot easier.

    Thanks
    Leon

    Hello,

All GD Searches are in one CPT at a time, and this is also the case for the maps, that they display one CPT at a time with a switcher between them.

Hi Alex, thanks for the reply.

Now to get to the other/new issue. If you have a look at the CPT Categories block on the homepage you will see that all the subcategories are listed vertically. When I just had categories under the CPT, I have managed to get them listed horizontally with the use of CSS, but now, I can’t seem to get it right.

On GD pages it is fine, except that the categories are listed together with the subcategories as can be seen here:https://goodnightsa.co.za/location/south-africa/gauteng/
Please see the attached image. (Can this be sorted so that the subs will be listed under the categories as on the homepage?

Can you please assist me in this regard?

    Kind regards
    Leon

On your homepage, you have the CPT Categories widget.
On your location page, you have the Popular Categories widget.
If you want the same look on both pages, you need to use the same widget.

    Thanks

Hi Guust, thank you for the reply. How do I get GD Categories to list the subcategories horizontally?

    Thanks

Use the CPT Categories widget instead of the the Popular Categories widget.
    Thanks

Hi Guust, for some reason my reply didn’t go through yesterday. I am using the CPT categories, that is what is giving the biggest problem. (subcategories listed vertically and not horizontally)

    Try adding this CSS:

    .gd-cptcat-row .gd-cptcat-li {display: inline-block;}

Let us know if I understood correctly now. Thanks

    Hi Guust

Thanks a lot, perfect. Only thing is that the Venues’ subcategory is next to the main and not beneath it like Accommodation. At this moment I take it that this is due to the fact that there are only 2 subs. I will keep you posted as soon as we have loaded some more dummy content. Please see attached screenshot.

If I would like to change this on the “Locations” and “Category” pages, which pages need to be changed?

If I select a location the map only shows listings for the selected area, but if I select a category, it shows all categories. Is there a way to filter this?

Thanks a lot for all the help, much appreciated.

    Regards
    Leon

If you want the same on Listings and Location pages, then use the CPT Categories widget instead of the the Popular Categories widget, in the Home and Listings widget sections.

    Please try

    .gd-cptcat-row .gd-cptcat-li-main {display: block !important;}

See also https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/customizing-your-style/ for other CSS tweaks.

If I select a location the map only shows listings for the selected area, but if I select a category, it shows all categories. Is there a way to filter this?
You should not use a GD Home Map on Listings pages, but a GD Listings map.

    Thanks

Hi Guust, thanks a lot, works 100%.

If I want to change widgets on the Location pages, where do I do that? Can’t seem to find it on the widgets page.
