    Dear everyone.
    I would like to know how to change the “Search For” field to a drop down of “Place Categories”. I just bought the Advanced Search Plugin hoping that it will resolve what I want but I still can’t manage to customize the “Search For” field to be a drop-down for “Place Categories”.

    Could anyone please assist me with this as this will be super helpful for me and is sort of mandatory for my site.

    Where Guust comments “Then go to GD > place settings > custom fields and add the category field to the advanced search.”

    I can’t add the category to the advanced search.

    Need help please!

    I get a 500 error when doing a near search for a post code, can you provide FTP info and i will debug it.
