I am trying to figure out how the basic search function works, but I can not find a complete information.

    I deduct the following:

    1) Search field admits several keywords separated by blank spaces.
    2) Search field keywords are looked for in the following Listing Fields: Title, Description, Categories, Tags.
    3) Near field could be used to specify a business name (Listing Title) an Street (for example, Pasadena Street) or an Adress (for example, 3402 Pasadena Street).
    4) Clicking the Compass allows to specify a distance from the Near field.
    5) If “Near Me” is selected the distance specified corresponds to the “Me” position according to geolocation.

Could you please let me know if I am wrong somewhere and any additional information?

One doubt: if the search field keywords are separated by blank spaces, how composite keywords are entered? For example, if a restaurant name is something like “Chez Andre” or “The magic steak”.

I look forward to your reply.

    Thanks and best regards.

    1. correct
    2. correct
    3. You cannot search for a listing title as such, the NEAR field connects to the Google API and looks for the location there:

    Thanks Guust!

Just to be sure how to enter the Tag Keywords, since I am still quite unsure after reading the information in the links you provided.

Imagine I have these Tag Keywords:

    1) steak
    2) beef steak
    3) huge beef steak
    4) chef Andre Sylvain

How should I enter them into the Tags field? I am thinking about the following possibilities and I suppose that there are more:

    a) huge beef steak chef Andre Sylvain
    b) steak beef steak huge beef steak chef Andre Sylvain
    c) steak, beef steak, huge beef steak, chef Andre Sylvain
    d) steak, beefsteak, hugebeefsteak, chefAndreSylvain
    e) steak beefsteak hugebeefsteak chefAndreSylvain

Whatever you think people might search for …

Thanks Guust, I understand the concept of Tag Keywords as what you say “Whatever you think people might search for …”, but I am unsure about how to enter them into the Tag field.

Please, let me know which one from the a to e options is the most adequate for the four example keywords specified.

    Thanks once again.

Tags must be entered comma separated. (obivously Tags can’t have commas in it)

    Thanks
