Search problems

    Hi I am not sure why but when I perform a search on my site I get the error.

    /search/?geodir_search=1

    “The Page isn’t redirecting properly
    An error occurred during a connection to [website URL]
    • This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept cookies.”

    Can anyone suggest a possible cause for this and how I might resolve please?

    I think its the case that when the search returns no matches we get this error.

    Just to let you know my host have also been investigating this, they are usually great at this stuff, but they have drawn a blank this time. So I am hopeful that you might be able to identify the cause.

    it seems plugin or theme related conflict.

    the FTP login details are not valid. I am getting authentication fail.
    Please send valid details.

    Thanks for your help. I can confirm that the problem was caused by the plugin “404 Solution”

    404 solution using template_redirect action at line 47.
    if you want to use this plugin.

    you can add patch in the function.
    you can replace the setting in used function to

    
    if (!is_404() || is_admin() || geodir_is_geodir_page() ) {
        return;
    }
