    Hello
Is there a way to automatically make the google map set the location when importing bulk listings?

I have got it working so I can import bulk listing from csv but can not figure out how to make the map set the location without going into each listing and clicking on the button that sets the location.

I have 1,000’s of listings to import so I really need a way to automate this process.

    Sincerely

    Hi Trevor Davis,

Thanks for your post. This is never how it should work. Did you setup “the Location Manager first before importing listings”? https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/geodirectory/settings/import-export/#recommended

If you are using wp all import addon you will need to supply all address fields including lat and lon.

If you use the built in listing importer and have setup the Location Manager for Multicity then you can leave lat and lon blank but all other address fields are required for import and to allow reverse geocoding to work properly.

ok thanks, I was using WP All Import and NOT importing Lat & Long. I will review the recommended documentation and use the built in listing importer.

I am getting a “the uploaded file is not a valid .csv file. Please try again” error message when try to upload any csv file.

I have downloaded and used OpenOffice as suggested in the documentation but no matter what I do it gives me the same error.

Even when I download the sample csv file and try to upload it.
I have attached a screen shot

    Please advise

Never mind, I have installed the recommended plugin from
    https://wordpress.org/plugins/disable-real-mime-check/
and it has fixed the problem.

Note to self read ALL the documentation before submitting support request.

    Thanks
    Trevor
