    Hello

I try to find a solution to my problem. After several hours of searching on the internet without success, I open a support ticket on your forum.

The issue is that it’s impossible to work properly a shortcode. When I put a shortcode in a page, nothing happens.

My main template is Kleo but when I desactivated it, I’ve got the same issue.
    Same thing with plugins…

The short code that I’m using is:
    [gd_homepage_map width=100% height=420 scrollwheel=false]

If you need further informations, please feel free to ask me.

    Regards.

    Hello!

So, GeoDirectory has some template pages. It uses a template home page called GD Home. This is a WP page that should have no content, but you can set title and slug to whatever you like.

Once basic installation is complete, some widgets are automatically added to the WP Widgets screen to the GD Home widget areas.

GD Home and other template pages should not have shortcodes unless they are added through widgets.

Builders also should not be used on the template pages.

For more about basic installation see:

For more about the widget areas and template pages see:

    Hi Alex,

Thank you very much for your fast reply.

I’ve followed your recommandation and everything works better except with the map.

I tried to put the plugin from the widget menu without success (see the attached file) … (ToT)

    Regards.

    Hi,

Every thing is ok. I’ve selected by error in Design > Map > “Show / hide post type and category on map” everything.

Thank you Alex for your support and your time.

    Best regards.

I’m also using KLEO. If you like to have the map full width you have to use the shortcode in the header content section of the GD Homepage. It should work. I’m also using the advanced search shortcode there to get it also full width.
In the page settings you can disable title displayed (I guess you don’t like to see “Home Business Directory”)

    Thanks Dirk,

Yes, if your theme has all those features, then great, use them, but otherwise you can use the widget areas, because shortcodes in the content area will be overwritten.

Just for information if another one read this.

This is not the standard content section and so it will not be overwritten by any other plugin.

For setting up KLEO with GeoDirectory 7th Queen has a video how to do it to get a standard front page.
