Sitemap gd_place

    Hey Guys,

    Currently gd_location_region and gd_location_city are automatically added to the sitemap.

    I need gd_place_region and gd_place_city to be able to be automatically added to sitemap (I want to put my location descriptions and listings on my /places page instead of dividing them up between /location and /places)

    Anyway to do this besides manually adding this pages because that would be a chore. Thanks.

    I’m not sure I understand, did you see options in GD > MultiLocations > Yoast SEO XML Sitemaps Settings?

    Yes I did.

    Take a look at the sitemap: http://addicthelp.org/sitemap_index.xml

    gd_place_region & gd_place_region_city are not included. Geodirectory’s default settings are to not include these pages in the sitemap. But gd_location_region & gd_place_region_city are there.

    The only pages included for “places” are the categories, tags, and detail pages.

    Hi,

    ok I double checked and that is not an option. Google should be able to index all those pages starting from the location pages and for directories with many locations and custom post types / categories it could take forever to generate all sitemaps.

    If you wish to see this option added, please submit a feature request here: https://wpgeodirectory.com/requests/

    If many other members will vote for it we will definitely consider it.

    Otherwise you could hire a developer to create this customization especially for you.
