Social Importer does not work.

    Hello,

    My Social Importer plugin is not working at all for Facebook or Yelp.

    1. Facebook: At Social Importer – ENTER YOUR FACEBOOK APP DETAILS.
    In the Facebook App ID field is my WP USERNAME
    In the Facebook Facebook App Secret field is my WP PASSWORD
    I have not been able to resolve this in any way. Even if my Facebook APP info shows to stick in the fields, when I click (Connect Your APP), in the Facebook popup window I still see my WP USERNAME.

    I thought I would trick this bug with a new WP ADMIN username and password to match my Facebook APP info but this did not work.

    2. Yelp: With Yelp the API info will stick in the (ENTER YOUR YELP API SETTINGS) but at the (Add Listing Page) when I add the Yelp URL for the business I wish to add and click (Import Details) the work arrows will spin but no data will be added. So can you help me with this?

    Hi,

    I don’t know how your wp username and password got saved in there (I guess you know…)

    You just needed to enter the FB APP Key and secret than click on save changes (I did it).

    Once that done you can click on connect your app.

    1 you might have to unauthorise the app and then reauthorise it, in facebook got to Settings>Apps find your app and click “remove”, then go back to your wp-admin area and click “refresh access token” this should fix it.

    2 I’ve just tested again on my demo and both Facebook and Yelp works fine. Are you 100% sure you entered the correct info on the Yelp tab?

    Hi,

    both Stiofan and I tried, but we got locked out of your FB account, because we logged in from 2 different locations.

    We momentarely removed the 2 permissions that were causing error to see if this is going to let you move any further.

    Thanks, Guys Removing the permissions worked. Not sure why I could not see them. Something was sure funny. Anyway, thank you, it is all working now.

    Can you confirm if you can use the post to facebook page feature? if so i will update the addon and release, if not i will investigate further.

    Update: I did just get the same Facebook profile that I have been trying to import to work from the Add List page. I found that it is working if I will remove the imported video embed code that Facebook is giving me for this business. I will test more through this week. The Update issue still stands.

    Social Importer was working on May 26 per your support. Then May 31 it stopped working for no reason that I am aware of. Then around June 1 it was working again. Nobody had done anything with it other then my adding a few listings. Today June 3 it is down again but in this case I did activate the update or a least I have tried. I did not try to add a listing today before I tried to install the update. It does not matter if I am using a Facebook or Yelp URL.

    The plugin upgrade seems to not stick and the add listings is not working. Please look into this.
