Sorting of searches

So i read another persons post and found that the system is not set up to show featured businesses before all others if a search is done without entering anything in the search box?

But in that post it also mentioned that if a search is done i can use the CPT’s Sort in settings to manipulate how the listings page shows results. So i have edited the sorting page under the CPT’s setting to show featured first. Although i can not get it to show properly

Can someone check what im doing wrong?
