    https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/geodirectory/featured-listings/#sorting

If I set all of my paid listings to featured and then I sort by package ID or make a custom sort field and sort by that then will this make my gold at top, silver next and bronze next if my custom sort field is set correctly ? Then all the free listings listed below that?

Also please explain to me where these results display. I’m learning that under the “regular” geodirectories setup when you search from the home page your sort settings don’t matter. It sorts by the map and that is it. And the same when you do an advanced search the same thing. So where does this apply to?

Sorting applies on category and CPT pages only.
Location pages cannot be sorted using those settings.

    Thanks

Thank you. Within category pages on either of these pages can I add a search in a city or zip code and will it keep the results on the same order as this does? Or can I add criteria in an advanced search for a searcher to find a notary that matches criteria by a tag or a multi select list that they added and the multi select list was added to the advanced search?

Or is it any time you use a search at all you can’t sort the results?

Search results are always based on the search criteria added by the visitor.
