Sorry. confused. The Business Directory menu (vp_guest_menu) is for the GeoDirectory page. I’m sorry if I don’t understand you.

I know it’s my confusion with what you are asking that is the problem here. I created a menu called Business Directory and specified the location as vp guest menu which then shows up in the design/navigation tab in GeoDirectory, so the terminology is the same. I am very confused by why you think this is any issue for the theme developer. This is basic WordPress code and nothing special about the theme. As I said I used GeoDirectory before and with a completely different theme. I had no problems getting a unique menu on the GeoDirectory page, I thought by following the exact same procedures as detailed in your documentation.

It sounds like you are finished trying to help me so I don’t know what to do now other than try to find another directory plugin. I like GeoDirectory though and would prefer to keep using it if possible.

Thank you for trying to help me though.

    No Gary,

that is not how it works. If you read the documentation you are not understanding it.

You have a theme and that theme has several menu locations.

    Primary Menu
    Top Bar Menu (Default)
    vp guest menu items
    vp subscriber menu items
    Footer Menu
    Mobile Menu
    Top Mini (Left)
    Top Mini (Right)

Primary for example appears below your logo, Top Bar Menu above your logo, Footer would appears in the footer (if used) and so on. Then you have few other locations that we don’t know where they should appear like that vp_guest_menu.

If in GeoDirectory > Design > Navigation you set the Primary location as the menu were you want the GD links to be added, the GD links would appear below the logo at the end of your current main menu.

If you selected the Top Bar Menu, the GD links would appear above your logo.

If you select vp_guest_menu, they would appear wherever that vp_guest_menu is intended to appear. I don’t know where that is, it looks like you don’t either, that’s why I’m suggesting that you ask to the theme author. He’ll know for sure.

There is no way to make the GD Links appear only on GD pages (if that is what you are trying to do).

If you tell me what you are trying to do, instead of telling me that something is not working based on assumptions, we might be able to help you more effectively.

    Thanks
